The Issue of Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is the illegal trade in human beings for the purposes of reproductive slavery, commercial sexual exploitation,
forced labour, or a modern-day form of slavery.
There are an estimated 27 million slaves in the world today. More than at any time in human history. An estimated 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders each year. Approximately 50% of all victims are children. 126 million children work in the worst forms of child labor – one in every 12 of the world’s 5-17 year-olds. An estimated 300,000 child soldiers are involved in over 30 areas of conflict worldwide, some younger than 10 years old.
Juliet and Jonathon Stuck's return to Thailand is near. What remains for their departure is a show of consistent financial support for the next 3 months from those of us who are committed to being a part of their work. If you send your monthly support to International Teams or as a designated offering through FPC, now is the time to step forward with the Stucks as they return as missionaries to the people Thailand. FPC current mission funding support of the Stucks is $500 per quarter. For more information about the Stucks or any other mission effort supported by your FPC giving, contact Kris Hannigan-Luther 664-7946.

Hello Dear Friends!
Thank
you to all of you who have been responsive to our letters with such
encouragement and support and for those of you who have come on as
monthly supporters! We are so grateful for you! We continue to feel that
Thailand is on the horizon and grow more excited every day and eager
for when we might be able to set an official departure date. We wanted
to share with you a few praises and prayer requests that have come up in
the past few months!
PRAISE!!!
Jonathan
and I have been without medical care for the past few years while back
in the states, therefore, we have been able to get little done for us
personally. After my surgery last year as well as some issues Jonathan
has dealt with, we felt it very important to see a doctor before leaving
for Thailand. As we prayed through this hope, we were led by our
incredible church family to an amazing doctor and beloved new friend
within our fellowship. What has come out of this relationship has been
astounding. On top of just getting general exams, there were a few
issues that arose that startled us initially. But the Lord has given our
hearts peace through the process, teaching us all the more about how
our rest and comfort should be in Him, in His sovereignty and ever
lasting goodness that springs from such great love, regardless of where
our health may stand.
As we have worked through this lesson, God has again showed us how
our children can be examples to us. With Galilee, her health for so long
seemed to be so weak, and yet her joy was unwavering. The Lord reminds
us, that if our hearts are true and rest in Him, there exists a joy that
cannot be taken. We praise God for this teaching. As of yesterday, all
our tests and exams are back with results without blemish... we feel so
overjoyed that the Lord would work this way, to send us back to Thailand
secure in our physical health! Praise Him mightily!
Prayer :)
The Lord has blessed us with
seven new supporters! Yay!!! We are praising God for the ways He is
moving and feel Him moving still! We still have a ways to go, so our
prayer request would be that the Lord would soon bring in the rest of
our support and reveal to us a departure date so that we might buy our
plane tickets. All our support must be raised or pledged for us to do
so; if any of you have the desire to become a supporter, even $20.00
dollars a month can go a long way! Write us and let us know!
Thank you all for walking with us and supporting us. We are working on a
new website to continue to share more of our vision and news! Updates
on that soon!
In His Love,
Juliet and Jonathan
June, 2012
Dearest Friends and Supporters,
This June marks two years since returning from Thailand. Our initial plans were to be back in the country we love after about six months, but the Lord has stretched that into two years. We have been extremely challenged, deeply refined, grown, stretched and blessed in so many ways. We have seen Galilee's health come suddenly to a strong and healthy place. God placed us in Arkansas when I had a massive surgery to get done and it was the only state that approved us for Medicaid. We have been remarkably blessed to discover a new and beautiful church family, have had wonderful time with our family, and been able to be a part of so many people's lives as God opens their hearts towards missions. These are just to name a few miraculous things the Lord has done!
After all this time waiting on the Lord, we feel His movement in miraculous ways. We have no set assurance that all our funds are yet raised, but we feel so optimistic and joyful that they will be by October. Many of you are already consistently giving, many of you are waiting until we are more sure of our departure and some of you are still praying. Thank you to all of you for your hearts to help us get there!
